Hardbite has partnered with Fraser Valley Biogas to convert organic waste from the plant, into biogas, a carbon neutral energy source produced through a process called "Anaerobic Digestion". The biogas is then purified to become renewable natural gas which can be used in the same was as conventional natural gas. This displaces conventional natural gas which is used to support the energy needs of the plant operation, including powering cooking equipment to produce potato chips.
